2020-21 College Scholarship Applications Due May 15, 2020

Pueblo High School Scholarships

  • James C. Stewart Scholarship

    The Educational Enrichment Foundation will award one $1,000 scholarship. Students will be notified by the end of May.  The scholarship may be used to attend an Arizona accredited public or private college, university, or trade school.  Payment will be made directly to the institution and may be applied to tuition, fees, and books.  The funds will be available prior to the start of school in the fall of 2020. 

      

    Who May Apply?
    Pueblo High School students who intend to graduate in May 2020. Applicants must be planning to attend an accredited college or university.

     

    Please Note: we are not necessarily looking for honor roll students.  We are looking for students who have clearly demonstrated the desire and skill to succeed personally and academically and who need financial support to attend college or a trade school.m

  • Eduardo Nunez Scholarship
     

    The Educational Enrichment Foundation will award one $1000 scholarship ($500 will be disbursed in the fall and spring semester).  Students will be notified by the end of May.  Scholarships may be used to attend an accredited Arizona public or private college, university, or trade school.  Payment will be made directly to the institution and may be applied to tuition, fees, and books. The funds will be available prior to the start of school in the fall of 2020.


    Who May Apply?
    Pueblo High School students who intend to graduate in May 2020 or who graduated in December 2019. Applicants must be planning to attend an accredited Arizona college, university, or trade school.

  • Jose Marquez Vail Award

    The Educational Enrichment Foundation will award one $1,000 scholarship.  Students will be notified by the end of May.  Scholarships may be used to attend an accredited public or private Arizona college, university, or trade school.  Payment will be made directly to the institution and may be applied to tuition, fees, and books. The funds will be available prior to the start of school in the fall of 2020.

    Pueblo High School students who intend to graduate in May 2020 or who graduated in December 2019. Applicants must be planning to attend an accredited Arizona college, university, or trade school.

  • Ricardo P. Fernandez Scholarship

    The Educational Enrichment Foundation will award one $500 scholarship on behalf of Ricardo P. Fernandez, a dedicated community member and a Pueblo High School alumnus who graduated in 1984.  Students will be notified by the end of May.  The scholarship may be used to pursue a degree or advance certificate at an accredited public or private college, university, or trade school.  Payment will be made directly to the institution and may be applied to tuition, fees, and books.  The funds will be available prior to the start of school in the fall of 2020.

     

    Who May Apply?
    A Pueblo High School Hispanic senior who intends to graduate in May 2020.  Applicants must be planning to pursue a degree or advance certificate at an accredited college, university, or trade school. Applicants must have participated in at least one of the Pueblo High School Varsity Baseball/Softball or Varsity Basketball Teams and maintained a GPA of 3.0 or show an economic need in lieu of a 3.0 GPA.

  • Lou Farber Memorial Scholarship

    The Educational Enrichment Foundation will award one $1,000 scholarship in memory of Lou Farber, the much-revered Pueblo High School football coach.  Students will be notified by the end of May.  The scholarship may be used to attend an Arizona accredited public or private college, university, or trade school.  Payment will be made directly to the institution and may be applied to tuition, fees, and books.  The funds will be available prior to the start of school in the fall of 2020.

     

    Who May Apply?
    Pueblo High School students who intend to graduate in May 2020.  Applicants must be planning to attend an accredited Arizona college, university, or trade school. Applicants must have participated at least one season on the Pueblo High School Football Team.

TUSD - All High School Scholarships

  • Funk/Cordell Education Fund Scholarship


    The Educational Enrichment Foundation’s Allocations Committee will award one, one-year scholarship, in the amount of $2,000. A student will be notified by the end of May.  Scholarships may be used to attend an accredited public or private Arizona college or university. Payment will be made directly to the institution and may be applied to tuition, fees, and books.

     

    Who May Apply?

     

    We are looking for TUSD students who intend to graduate in May 2020. Applicants must be planning to attend an accredited Arizona college or university and pursue a major in math and/or science or engineering.  Applicants’ degree must be in math/or science while also demonstrating an aptitude for those subjects.

  • Kenneth H. Paulin Memorial Scholarship

    The Educational Enrichment Foundation will award one $1,000 scholarship in memory of Kenneth H. Paulin, an innovative and much revered Automotive Technology teacher at Palo Verde and Sahuaro High Schools.  Students will be notified by the end of May.  The scholarship may be used to attend an accredited public or private college, university, or trade school.  Payment will be made directly to the institution and may be applied to tuition, fees, and books.  The funds will be available prior to the start of school in the fall of 2020.

     

    Who May Apply?
    TUSD high school students who intend to graduate in May 2020.  Applicants must be planning to pursue studies related to automotive technology, transportation, alternative energy/fuels or related engineering fields at an accredited college, university, or trade school. Applicants must also demonstrate financial need.

  • Velma Castaneda-Titone Memorial Scholarship

     

    The Educational Enrichment Foundation will award one $500 scholarship in memory of Velma Castaneda-Titone, the much-revered educator and retired principal of the Tucson Unified School District.  The student to whom the scholarship is awarded will be notified by the end of May.  The scholarship may be used to purchase textbooks and other related books by a student attending an accredited public or private college or university, for the first year only.  Payment will be made directly to the institution and may be applied to tuition, fees, and books.  The funds will be available prior to the start of school in the fall of 2020.

     

    Who May Apply?
    TUSD High School Senior girls of an ethnic minority pursuing a degree in education, science, or math who intend to graduate in May 2020.  Applicants must have a 3.0 GPA or higher.  Applicants must be planning to attend an accredited college or university.

    NOTE: The family of Velma Castaneda-Titone may opt to turn this into an annual renewable scholarship for successful recipients who maintain a 3.0 GPA in college.


  • Native American Legacy Scholarship

    The Educational Enrichment Foundation will award one $2000 scholarship to a Native American female who has been accepted to a college or university.  Payment will be made directly to the college, university, or trade school  and may be applied to tuition, fees, books, and other educational expenses that make meeting educational goals easier.  The funds will be available prior to the start of school in the fall of 2020 and will be disbursed at the beginning of each semester ($1000 in the fall/$1000 in the spring).  This is a one-time scholarship.

     

    Who May Apply?
    TUSD graduating high school senior, females of Native American descent who have been accepted to a college, university, or trade school, and intend to graduate high school in May 2020.

    We look forward to seeing the great things you will accomplish as you take this next step in your life.  

     

    All college scholarship recipients will receive an award letter and certificate in the mail.  All money will be sent directly to your post-secondary institution listed on your application.
